About me
Luqman Ali received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Communication Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, Pakistan, in 2014, and the M.Sc. degree from Kasetsart University, Thailand, under the TAIST-Tokyo Tech program in collaboration with the Tokyo Institute of Technology, in 2017. He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Software Engineering at the College of Information Technology, United Arab Emirates University, in 2023.
His research primarily focuses on developing intelligent machine learning algorithms for various medical and civil applications. His areas of interest include computer vision, deep learning, structural health monitoring, and construction management.
His notable awards and honors include the TAIST Tokyo Scholarship from Kasetsart University, the Soyama Scholarship from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, the Sakura Exchange program (Tokyo Institute of Technology), and a Full Fellowship from United Arab Emirates University. He was awarded the UAEU Chancellor’s Innovation 1st Place Award in 2021 and the Best Demonstration Award at the "Abu Dhabi AI Connect" event, held on December 12-13, 2022, organized by the Technology Innovation Institute (TII).
In addition, Luqman Ali won the UAE Hackathon Research Track in 2023 and received the IEEE and IoT Excellence Award from the IEEE UAE Section in 2024.
