About me
Gela Kvashilava is an International Road Safety Expert who has been advancing safe, fair, and green mobility for over fifteen years. He collaborates with diverse stakeholders to mobilize cross-sector cooperation on safe, clean, and inclusive mobility legislation, complete-streets design standards, sustainable transport policy management, and active mobility. He contributed to the preparation of the Road Safety Performance Review (RSPR) for Georgia and Uzbekistan, as well as the adoption of seat belt legislation, demerit-point systems, and active mobility schemes. Additionally, he supported the Moldovan Traffic Police reform to enhance enforcement capabilities and operational practices. He served for five years as an elected member of the Board of Directors for the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety and is a two-time winner of the prestigious Prince Michael International Road Safety Award.
